ALAN SCHOLNICK, Leadership Coach
PCC, CPC, CPA, CGMA, MST, MAOL, ELI-MP

I believe in growing people and business together. How? By leading by example, portraying how you want others to follow and what you want to achieve. I offer a trustful and nonjudgmental space to reflect, be brave, vulnerable, and honest. I create time to explore all your possibilities, to believe in yourself, to build upon your experiences and provide space to unlearn and relearn. In turn, your unique journey will have a ripple effect on those around you.

I work with individual leaders, groups, and teams. I specialize in Leadership Coaching, Professional Development, Conscious Leadership, Team Development and Communication. I am equally comfortable coaching in the C-suite as I am with an entry level co-worker.

Professional History

My early experience includes working in public accounting, healthcare, and manufacturing before moving into finance and operations at IKEA. Where I spent 27+ years holding Executive roles in Finance, Operations, and Leadership\Competence Development, with cultural experience working in the US, The Netherlands and Sweden. I've held various leadership roles including as a Global Competence Development Manager for the CFO Community. I've had full P&L responsibility, developed strategic, tactical, and operational business plans, and worked cross-functionally with various stakeholders.

I have been an adjunct professor for over 20 years. I began leadership development, coaching and facilitation work at IKEA. I hold a Master’s in Organizational/Servant Leadership from Gonzaga University, a Master’s in Taxation from Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science, and a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Temple University.

My favorite movie is It’s A Wonderful Life and I am grateful to have my wife, 3 amazing daughters (two sons-in-laws) and 2 incredible granddaughters in my life. I love to share culture and family traditions with others from all over the world and enjoy bringing people together through food.
